Leadership Team

Our Inspiration

Our Work is Dedicated to the Memory of Ted Carr (1947-2009)

Dr. Carr’s career reflected his intellect, creativity, compassion, and true desire to make a difference in the lives of people with autism and special needs. A true pioneer, Ted was a co-founder Positive Behavior Support, a movement committed to advancing best practices.
Several of us were fortunate to have worked closely with Ted at Stony Brook University. As a mentor, he challenged us to think for ourselves, use careful research methods, and focus on real-world solutions. Ted was meticulous in everything he did and inspired us with his sense of humor, honest feedback, high expectations, and passion for helping people.
